ReyesSoft announces plans to introduce New Toolkits in 2009

Throughout 2009, ReyesSoft is planning to introduce several new toolkits to add to its already successful OpenEDA Toolkit 1.1. Among the planned toolkits include a 3DGraphics Toolkit, a 3DRendering Toolkit, and the Upstream Media Toolkit.

Stay tuned for further details.

ReyesSoft Adds SystemC 2.2 and other Major Open Source EDA Software Releases to its OpenEDA 1.1 Toolkit

Building on the successful introduction of its OpenEDA 1.0 Toolkit, ReyesSoft adds the emerging IEEE 1666 EDA Open Source standard SystemC 2.2. SystemC 2.2 is a system descriptive language that bridges the gap between software developers who know C++ and hardware developers. Originally developed by Synopsys, SystemC 2.2 is the leading open source EDA project actively being developed and used throughout the world.

Along with SystemC 2.2, the OpenEDA 1.1 Toolkit now includes design and verification libraries such as Trusster ‘s (www.trusster.com) Teal and Truss, Magic VLSI Layout Tool 7.5, plus 6 other major open source EDA software applications. This makes the OpenEDA 1.1 Toolkit the most complete set of open source EDA software available anywhere, and available for more operating systems then any other release. Supported operating systems include: Solaris (SPARC and x86), Apple OS X 10.5 (INTEL ), HP-UX 11i, Cygwin for Microsoft Windows, and Linux.

The concept behind ReyesSoft’s OpenEDA 1.1 Toolkit is to be the single source of open source EDA software applications available. ReyesSoft’s OpenEDA Toolkit 1.1 is ideal for electrical engineering students, educational institutions, individuals, and small companies that need low cost EDA productivity tools that can be used on any operating system, whether at work, or at home.

When designing the OpenEDA Toolkit 1.1, ReyesSoft made sure to include tools that can be successfully used for both individual and complex commercial EDA designs. As a result, the suite gives users the flexibility to work alongside commercial applications and integrate their Verilog, VHDL, and now SystemC designs at any time.

While many of these packages are available for LINUX such as the Fedora Electronics Lab, only ReyesSoft, has a more complete set and has ported them to all the major UNIX based operating systems. more

We build it – so you don’t have to!

In an ideal world, also known as Linux, building Open Source software projects should be as simple as ‘./configure,’ followed by ‘make install.’ Since the vast majority of Open Source software was first developed on Linux, it should be equally simple on other UNIX-based operating systems. Despite the claims of these other UNIX platforms having Linux compatibility, real life experience shows that this is not always true.

This is where ReyesSoft comes in.

With over 25 years experience in UNIX development and porting, we have the expertise on multiple platforms to bring open source projects to all the major UNIX-derived operating systems. Now, you no longer have to build the source code binaries yourself, or incur the expense of programming development - ReyesSoft has done all the work for you, at an affordable price.
